The three counters that matter

The in-game week has six days (Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Pride, Wrath) and three achievements are tied to one specific day. Every missed week pushes your 100% back by a full week, so start them the day they unlock.

  1. Shepherd of Souls: 50 sermons, and you can only preach on Wrath, once a week. Preach every Wrath from the moment the church opens: at least 50 in-game weeks.
  2. Necromancer: 50 resurrections. The device normally only works on Envy, and one pull raises every prepared table, so build several and prepare the bodies the day before. Useful exception: the Prayer for Storms blessing lets you resurrect on any day for 90 minutes. The free zombies from Albert and Gunter do not count.
  3. Merchants' Best Friend: 25 Town orders, accepted on Pride. Take one every week and claim it as soon as it is complete.

One in-game day lasts about 7.5 real minutes, so 50 weeks is close to 40 hours of clock time if you never sleep through days.

Full list

  1. A New Beginning

The journey has begun. The world is waiting.

Play through the prison escape and the scripted defence of the Town, then follow Herbert to the abandoned Inquisition Base west of the Crossroads. Enter the house and sleep: the achievement pops when you wake up and Donkey brings the first body.

    95.6% bronze
  2. Two faces

You met Januarius and Jully. However, it seems like they're the same person.

After your first burial, show the Burial Certificate to Herbert so the village guards let you in, then enter the Village Tavern and talk to Januarius. Let the conversation switch to Jully and finish the introduction, including the trading tutorial (sell the certificate).

    92.8% bronze
  3. A Man of Many Talents

Jack has found his way to the town.

Jack in a Boat starts after you meet Herm (sleep once). Give Jack 5 Wooden Planks, then a Bronze Axe and a Bronze Hammer (since patch 1.007; earlier versions asked for 5 Bronze Detail instead). Convince Heffry and Jeffry to row, which needs 10 Village reputation. Launch the boat, sleep, and read the letter the twins bring back.

    81.6% bronze
  4. A Little Magic

The fairy has answered the call.

Albert's quest Sweet Dreams teaches you Dream Dust. During Chasing Fairy Lights, use the one-time Summon Fairy recipe at the Kitchen Table at home with 1 Dream Dust, 1 Comet's Tail (sold by Gunter or the Apothecary) and 1 Tooth (made from a Skull at the Formulation Bench); it needs mastery level 3. The fairy appears and hands you the Fairy's Swamp Map.

    61.3% bronze
  5. First Blood

    You won your first battle.

Complete Herbert's early requests (graveyard quality 10, then 3 Faith from your first sermon). Reach 12 military strength with barricades and the paid mercenary group and craft the Magic bell (1 Blood extracted from a corpse and 1 Bronze Ingot at an anvil). Then win Break Through to the Port (12 strength, 1 squad), the battle of the quest First... Sludge?

    68.9% bronze
  6. Words of Faith

    You delivered your first sermon.

Meet Agatha at the Village Tavern (she arrives after Jack's letter). Clear the clutter in the church and reach church quality 10 (three Interior Bench I plus the donation box are enough), tell her it is ready, then select Basic Prayer at the pulpit and hold the service. Close the results window and finish her conversation.

    79.7% bronze
  7. The Man Behind the Curtain

    Gunter has entered the story.

Once the first battle opens the Port, cross the bridge to meet Jack again; he points you to the observatory. Enter the tower attached to a giant foot in the Port to trigger the meeting.

    68.4% bronze
  8. Back to Life

The town has taken its first steps toward recovery.

Once house repairs open in the Town (Houses Repairing tech, blue wooden signposts), bring the kits to a house sign. Repairing the Small House (4 Building Kit I, 3 Wooden Kit I, 1 Iron Kit I) or a standard House (6 Building Kit I, 4 Wooden Kit I, 2 Iron Kit I) unlocks it.

    43.1% bronze
  9. Open for Business

You completed your first town order.

After your first visit to the warehouse, Jack posts a one-off Supply: Iron order (1 crate) on the Town Warehouse board. Accept it on Pride, the commerce day, craft one Supply: Iron (6 Iron Ingots, 4 Boards, 8 Bronze Nails at Woodworking Workbench I), drop it at the warehouse and claim the finished order.

    52.6% bronze
  10. A New Dawn

The South part of Town has been cleared of zombies.

Complete three questlines: Hope It Doesn't go South (two southern fights), Street Battles (Central Districts Purge: Part I and Part II, 36 then 56 military strength) and Battles in the Sewers with Davy (Sewer Brawl I and II, 8 then 24 strength). Finishing the last of the three completes Herbert's quest Safe zone and unlocks the achievement.

    23.6% silver
  11. Friends in Low Places

    You met the bandits.

Jack's lead about iron sends you to the Forest Post west of the Village, where the guards want a Forest Pass. Ask Jully at the tavern (through Januarius): repair the Royal Postbox next to the tavern, collect the Temporary Head of the Village Certificate and hand it over to get the Forest Pass. Show it at the post, then talk to the bandit Hans at the Bandit Camp.

    62.2% bronze
  12. A Night to Remember

    You attended Linda's concert.

Follow Linda's requests: restore the old shop next to the club, bring her Paint (a laboratory formula), fetch his sister's Violin from Albert (he wants Lacquer first) and bring Simple Incense (sold by the Trademaster at the Main Pier or by an Apothecary). Then come back on the merchant-ship day (Lust) and choose to start the concert.

    45.4% bronze
  13. Forbidden Knowledge

You found the Necronomicon. Some books should stay buried.

Once Donkey's delivery strike is settled, he tells you that Gunter knows where the book is. Ask Gunter about the Necronomicon at 20 reputation, then pick the second topic at 30 reputation to receive it.

    38.4% silver
  14. The People Have Spoken

The elections are over. The future has been decided.

After the Goddess encounter, Jully wants to win the election. Ask Januarius about it, then secure all three helpers: Herbert (55 then 60 reputation), Linda (55 then 60) and Gunter (45 then 50). Start the election with Januarius, talk to Jack and Agatha inside, then leave the tavern: Linda's exit scene awards the achievement.

    22.1% silver
  15. An Unlikely Pair

    Hidden achievement: show description

Agatha and Herbert have found common ground.

After the election, follow Agatha's Notorious Nun and Herbert's Still Standing on Stilts (Battle at the Lake) to Harold's Organic Music. Repair Harold's machine (2 Building Kit I, 1 Iron Kit II), research Church Music II (150 red, 100 blue points), build the Organ in the Church (4 Special Wood, 6 Steel Detail) and tell both of them. Reach church quality 50, upgrade Agatha's house at the Crossroads (2 Wooden Kit II, 2 Furniture Kit II), then hold a sermon with a zombie assigned to the Organ (A Good Example is the Best Sermon). The pair's scene unlocks the achievement.

    6.6% silver
  16. Two Broken Souls

    Hidden achievement: show description

Jack and Gunter make a surprisingly good team.

After installing the Lust fragment, raise Jack to 80 reputation so he hands over the Pride fragment (More Portal Parts; Man of Steel and Factory Tour help), and raise your Likes to 100 for Gunter's PR target (Why don't you like me?). Sleep, then approach Jack and Gunter near the Main Pier.

    5.9% silver
  17. A Dangerous Romance

    Hidden achievement: show description

Linda and Albert have found each other. Science and passion rarely mix well.

After the election, Linda's A Cure for Wellness leads to the drained ship lock and its refugees. Give the refugees 3 Steel Shovels in exchange for 3 Po-ta-to and bring those to Linda (Hot Potato Delivery). Finish Albert's cough branch (Coughing it Up!, then Heal the Healer) and raise Town quality to 100 for Wealthy Clients. Sleep, then enter the Dockside Club: the couple's scene unlocks the achievement.

    6.7% silver
  18. The Ancient One

    Hidden achievement: show description

    You found the Old God.

Give Jully 100 Faith for the Goddess ritual to open Finding Old God (Davy and the looters search the sewers), and install the Lust portal fragment (bought for 1 gold from the Trademaster on ship day). Sleep to start Friend or Foe and receive the Red Eye, then use it at the sealed entrance to Mauritzio's cheese cellar in the Town sewers.

    8.4% gold
  19. The Other Keeper

    Hidden achievement: show description

    You found your other you.

Install six portal fragments (the Wrath fragment opens Palace Politics), pay Davy 50 silver for the Palace briefing and complete the three pair-help agreements: 90 reputation with each character if you returned the Red Eye, 100 if you kept it (keeping it also adds the gift quests Gluttony and Pride, Lust and Envy, Wrath and Sloth). Win The Last Battle near the Palace (144 military strength, 4 squads), then follow the scenes into the Palace: meeting the other Keeper gives you the Greed fragment and the achievement.

    4.2% gold
  20. The End of the Journey

    Spoiler: how to unlock

    You completed the game.

After the Palace meeting, return to the Astrologer's Tower and choose to insert the Greed fragment at the portal frame. The achievement unlocks before the final choice to go or stay.

    4.2% gold
  21. Tree Bane

You've felled 100 trees! The whole forest fears you now.

Chop down trees with an axe whenever you need wood.

    10.3% bronze
  22. True Graveyard Keeper

You've buried 50 corpses! Now you are The True Graveyard Keeper!

Dig graves and bury the bodies Donkey delivers instead of cremating or dumping them.

    2.5% bronze
  23. Patron of merchants

You built all the market stalls in the Town.

Restore every shop plot at Tier I as you reclaim the Town. There are 8 small stall types for 7 stall plots, so one type is never built; the 4 large shops (Builder, Smithy, Tavern, Brewery) have 4 plots of their own.

    11.5% silver
  24. Urban Planner

You've restored all the houses in the Town. It's never looked so good!

Repair every house at its blue signpost: 1 Small House, 3 Houses, 7 Large Houses and 4 Blocks. Later houses need higher-tier kits, such as furniture and sculpture kits.

    6.1% silver
  25. Home Sweet Tomb

The quality of your cemetery has reached 200. Rest in style.

Bury good corpses under better headstones and fences, and add decorations such as crypts, columbariums, benches, monuments and flower beds, plus the fence and path upgrades.

    10.4% bronze
  26. Bronze Age

    You've smelted 100 bronze ingots.

Keep a furnace smelting bronze: you need it for nails, details and tools throughout the early game.

    46.5% bronze
  27. Iron Age

You've smelted 100 iron ingots. Why so much?

Research Iron Forge and keep iron smelting at Furnace II (3 Iron Ore for a batch of 3 ingots). Each Supply: Iron crate uses 6 ingots.

    46.6% bronze
  28. Supplier

You've created 50 supplies. The town is depending on you.

Supply items (for example Supply: Iron) are packed crates made at the Woodworking Workbench or at the factory's Assembly bench. Craft 50 of them; they are what Town orders ask for.

    18.4% bronze
  29. Merchants' Best Friend

    You've completed 25 merchant orders.

Accept orders on Pride day, deliver the requested Supply crates to the Town Warehouse (within one week for urgent orders), then claim each finished order at the board.

    5.8% gold
  30. Warmaker

You've crafted 50 battle items. What a time to live!

Craft weapons and armor for your squads (Bronze Armor, bows, pikes, swords) until the counter reaches 50.

    9.8% bronze
  31. Master Cook

You've cooked 100 dishes! You won't be starving.

Cook any dishes at your kitchen stations until the counter reaches 100. You need food for energy anyway, so this usually unlocks during normal play.

    63.9% bronze
  32. Necromancer

    You've resurrected 50 zombies. A whole army!

Prepare corpses on the Resurrection Tables (all vital organs, 1 Reanimation Liquid and a collar that covers the red-skull count; collars cost Faith), then pull the power switch. Normally this only works on Envy, with one power charge per week, and one pull raises every prepared table. Exception: after a successful Prayer for Storms sermon (20 parishioners to start, 40 for a sure success), the God of the storms blessing lets the device work on any day, any number of times, for 90 minutes.

    5.4% silver
  33. Master Farmer

You've harvested 100 crops. Enough for the whole Town!

Keep several Garden Beds planted from the start (Herm sells Wheat seed) and harvest them regularly.

    63.2% bronze
  34. Alcohol Baron

You have produced 100 bottles of alcohol... Handle with care.

Brew alcohol (Beer, Soldier's ale, Wine, Mead) and keep your brewing running until the counter reaches 100.

    9.7% bronze
  35. Shepherd of Souls

You've preached 50 sermons! A true shepherd of wayward souls.

From your first service onward, hold a sermon at the pulpit every Wrath day. Only one sermon per week is possible, so 50 sermons take roughly 50 in-game weeks.

    1.6% bronze
  36. Stroke of Genius

You've had 150 Inspirations. Your mind is sparkling.

Actions fill Inspiration bars; when a bar is full, claim the level in the Inspirations menu. Most first levels are free and later ones cost Faith. Claim 150 levels in total.

    22.3% bronze
  37. Novice Alchemist

You've brewed 25 potions. The eyebrows will grow back.

Craft 25 items at Laboratory I or II, in the lab of the Abandoned Tower.

    36.7% bronze
  38. Fish Magnet

You caught 50 fish, so now they've put a bounty on your head.

Get the Basic Rod from Heffry and Jeffry (Two Peas in a Pod, 6 Clay Plates) or craft one (Fishing I), then fish at any fishing spot. Roach, Gudgeon and Crucian bite without bait at the spot near your home.

100% route

No official roadmap exists yet. This is ours, built from the quest order and the fixed days. Expect 70 to 100 hours for a planned run (an estimate: the community has no reference time yet).

  1. Prologue to the church: plant beds, cut trees and cook from day one.
  2. First battle, then Gunter. From now on: a sermon every Wrath.
  3. Fairy, forest, concert, Necronomicon, first Town order and first house. Build the resurrection room and resurrect every Envy.
  4. Southern Town and the election. An order every Pride; keep restoring houses and shops.
  5. The late branches (the Ancient One, then the three pair scenes) while finishing the Town and the automated factory.
  6. Before the final battle, check your counters: the ending locks nothing (staying keeps the world playable), but finishing first saves a reload.
  7. Final battle, the Palace, then the last choice. Clean up the calendar-bound counters afterwards.
